To this day, Western Michigan University students enjoy the sport of water skiing, because of Johns behind the scene. His love and support of his sons passion of water skiing had led John to buy a MasterCraft Star and Stripes ski boat for his son Joe. Joe later used his dads boat to start Western Michigans University water ski team, for several years the team used Johns boat.

Best memory, eating fish at the dinner table with his family, Johns dad would catch a few fish out of coldwater lake, freeze them, bring them out for a big fish dinner. Another was Johns idea to just clean up Id say down in front of the house in the lake early morning...I can say lake water and shampoo...just doesn't work.

John had touched my life, I have an updated version of his MasterCraft boat, he had paved the the way for the future of water skiing in more than one way.

To the family, John will be missed by more people than you know...

Ruth and family, so sorry to here of John's passing. Many memories from our days at the lake, like when you guys invited all of us year-rounders up to your place after the Bizzard of'78 for breakfast, homemade cinnamon rolls and all. And years before that,John coming down to show me how to fly my .049 engine plane in the back field. RIP, John, RIP. up,up and away!

Johner, I am so sorry to learn of your dad's passing! I remember he and your mom well. He is in good company as my dad has been up there waiting to greet all of the world's best since November.
