Story shared: Room mates 4 years in Med School

Bill and I were room mates for 4 years at the Phi Chi Medical Fraternity while we were students at the University of Michigan Medical School from 1947 to 1952. and we and our families, have remained friends ever since. Bill and Sally even drove to Wichita, KANSAS to attend our (Carol and my) wedding. During the summer of our third year of Med School, 1950, Bill and I, with my brother Gordon, drove to Salem, Oregon to become externs at the Oregon State Hospital which was where Jack Nicholson filmed "One Flew Over the Coo Coos Nest"

He was wonderful source of comfort to a kid in the 1950's. He made house calls out in the country when I was very sick. Did everything from sowing up scalp wounds to digging a BB out or my ear. A great man and figure of th community.

Oh Dr. Nettleman always made me laugh... He served both of my parents and myself as our Doctor for years. His gentle, kind, and outrageous personality will be missed. My deepest sympathy to all the family. Fly Doc Fly!
